Oxbow Park is about 10 minutes south of Seattle in historic Georgetown. In 1953, Seattle artist Lewis Nasmyth was hired to create a design for a ‘western-style’ gas station featuring a 44-ft wide cowboy hat and 22-ft tall cowboy boots.

Every time I drive into Seattle, I’m always taken aback by how little I recognize my hometown. We decided we would #RevisitSeattle and see how much it’s changed. Today’s Adventure was the Volunteer Park Conservatory.
With 2019 being the year of the slashed budget, we’ve found ourselves getting more creative in our outings as a family, finding fun things to do together that are inexpensive and sometimes (other than gas) free.
